Significant achievements while working at IMCOM-Korea Public Affairs:

- Produced, shot and edited a 30 minute television show, Tour Of Duty: USAG Humphreys, that aired worldwide on the Pentagon Channel in October and November 2008 highlighting U.S. Army transformation on the Korean Peninsula.

- Instrumental in launching several Internet-based emerging technology initiatives including the IMCOM-K YouTube Channel, the IMCOM-K Flickr photo sharing site, the IMCOM-K Facebook organizational page and the HQ IMCOM and IMCOM-K Wikipedia entry.

- Planned and executed a redesign of the 8th United States Army web site assisting with ongoing U.S. Army Internet technology initiatives for Public Affairs organizations across the Korean peninsula.

Duties as Deputy Public Affairs Officer: Serve as Public Affairs Specialist in the Special Staff Section of the Installation Management Command Korea Region as a key action officer for an extensive array of Region-wide public affairs requirements. Manage and oversee development and dissemination of information products for IMCOM-K and installations within the region including press releases, fact sheets and other products to meet mission needs. Provide comprehensive special project support as required by HQ IMCOM, The IMCOM-K Commanding General, the command group and the IMCOM-K Public Affairs Officer. Provide editorials, features and articles for the weekly regional newspaper, The Morning Calm, and various other professional journals, official publications and web sites. Act as IMCOM region Public Affairs Officer when the PAO is absent. Create local media campaigns and manage special programs. Create Public Information, Command Information, Community Relations and Media Relations programs and products using all available forms of media including broadcast radio, television, newspaper, magazines and the Internet. Oversee production, posting, maintenance of regional Web site and numerous other Internet-based strategic communications and community relations initiatives in support of overall IMCOM-K information strategies. Conduct research on variety of regional and installation specific topics. Write speeches for Commanding General and Command group. Respond to information requests from regional and national media and various publics on regional installation management programs in written and oral form requiring detailed, technical explanations. Significant achievements while working at the 78th Signal Battalion, Visual Information Division:

- Selected as the single 78th Signal Battalion 2008 NETCOM Hero awardee for outstanding performance.

- Built and led a cohesive and highly effective team that was awarded the 2007 Pacific Federal Executive Board Team Excellence Award representing the 516th Signal Brigade.

- Created the US Army Garrison Japan (USAGJ) Commander's 2007 Strategic Communications Presentation significantly contributing to the Garrison being recognized as first place in the 2007 Army Community Of Excellence (ACOE).

- Conceived, planned and produced an award-winning, monthly, public affairs community relations television show entitled "The Post Signal" featuring the 78th Signal Battalion and shown on the Command Information Channel at all US Army installations on the island of Honshu, Japan.

- Completed the installation of an $800,000 television studio upgrade, saving the taxpayer $25,000 in installation fees.

Duties as Chief, Visual Information Division: Served as United States Army, Japan (USARJ) Visual Information Manager responsible for managing, planning and directing visual information support activities including broadcast facility operations, television production, web design, photography, graphic design, multimedia production and training support operations utilizing CCTV systems, a multi-camera broadcast television studio, Electronic News Gathering (ENG) systems, non-linear editing systems, audiovisual presentation systems, simultaneous interpretation equipment and advanced multimedia computer workstations. Advised customers on the appropriate use of various types of electronic and traditional media. Developed methods and procedures impacting overall operations to ensure that products and services were of the highest quality and that deadlines were met. Prepared scripts, speeches and strategic communications presentations. Oversaw the creation of Public Information, Command Information, Community Relations and Media Relations programs and products. Directly involved in creating local media campaigns for a variety of community relations events such as Bon Odori Festival and the Cherry Blossom Festival. Video/Multimedia Producer (Electronic Multimedia Systems Specialist)

Significant achievements while working at the US Army Combat Readiness/ Safety Center:

- Conceived, planned and coordinated with the Discovery Channel to create a 90 minute special episode of the popular Discovery Channel TV show, "Dirty Jobs with Mike Rowe" featuring the US Army. In addition the Discovery Channel agreed to provide the host of the show to appear in safety spots that aired on American Forces Networks and played in AAFES Theaters worldwide.

- Planned and built a distributed network rendering system for processor-intensive 2D/3D animations that allowed rendering speed gains of 800% utilizing existing computers and software for a net cost to the taxpayer of $0.

Duties: Served as video producer/editor of film, video, multimedia, web and DVD productions in support of the Combat Readiness Center's "Own The Edge" Composite Risk Management (CRM) worldwide safety education and training campaign. Worked directly with the Commanding General, the Commanding General's staff and other high-ranking officials. Responsibilities included knowledge of all phases of audiovisual production, story development, writing, producing, shooting, video editing, video graphics, web animation, web design, and video compression for the web. Coordinated with installation public affairs officers and the US Army Office of the Chief of Public Affairs, Los Angeles (OCPA-LA) to develop national and international web, video and film productions designed to be seen by the general public and portray the US Army in a positive light. Conducted interviews with senior civilians, high-ranking military officials and celebrities. Additional duties included the production of high-end 2D/3D graphics and animation for web and video projects using Adobe AfterEffects, Flash and other industry-standard multimedia and animation production tools.
